Erica and I just got back from a 1 week vacation in Hawaii. We stay mostly in Waikiki. Some of the things we did included: visiting Pearl Harbor, the Polynesian Culture Center, a mini Circle Island tour, 1 day tour of Maui and 1 day tour of the Big Island. We also did a helicopter tour of Oahu, which was so spectacular.

The scenery in Hawaii is so beautiful. We wish we could have stayed longer!
 

Recently, at my work, they had laid off 3 people in my department. One medical illustrator and two graphic designers. So that just leave my manager and I in the creative department.

The company wanted to cut cost and outsource more of the work. I'm surprised that they didn't lay me off too. I feel so bad for my co-workers. It is so strange to come into work and not see my them at their desk. I think that eventually the company will get rid of our creative department here.

It is very ironic that back in March, the CEO was giving our creative team praises for the great work on the Anatomy Atlas project.
